Breaking Ground at Bartlett Arboretum

Breaking Ground at Bartlett Arboretum
We are delighted to announce that construction has officially begun on the Bartlett Arboretum Research Building, marking an exciting milestone in our collaboration with Bartlett Tree Experts.
The project will establish a Centre of Excellence for tree care, blending research, education, and conservation in a landscape-led design. The masterplan, developed in partnership with Harris Bugg Studio, integrates the new facilities seamlessly within a carefully curated arboretum. The scheme includes research laboratories, an auditorium, and office spaces, all designed to promote sustainability, innovation, and a deep connection with the surrounding natural environment. The buildings take cues from traditional rural forms while embracing contemporary, sustainable construction techniques. The project will be phased, with the core research and office spaces completed first, followed by the auditorium and arrival areas . As we break ground, we look forward to seeing this vision come to life—a place where scientific research, ecological stewardship, and a love of nature combine.
